What is a domain name?

A domain name (domain name) is a unique identity of a company, an organization or an individual, which can be used as a basis for many transactions on the Internet. This word is always further specified by a suffix that somehow characterizes the "region" of the network to which it belongs. Thus, for the namespace ending in [.gr], a domain name will have the form domain.gr .
